Our Philosophy
We, at Beacon believe in ‘learning through play’. Experience is the best teacher. So, we let our center’s children try to go through their day independently and confidently with guidance and support. Giving children a choice, remembering that they have rights and deserve respect are our basic beliefs.
We also believe that if a child is in an atmosphere of trust, they will feel safe. Genuine warmth and concern contribute to their happiness. Happy children are more eager to learn and more confident when expressing their thoughts.
Through parental involvement, we are better equipped to meet the developmental and personal needs of your children. As childcare professionals, we can be a valuable resource for the parents. We can also guide your children about most areas of child development.
Our Team
Our team consists of highly qualified, trained, educated and experienced individuals who share the same philosophy when dealing with children.
All members of our team are trained in first aid, CPR, as well as infection control procedures.
Admission
Beacon Children’s Learning Center is open to serve all children ages birth through 12. The center welcomes children regardless of race, creed, or national origin. Admission is on a first, come, first serve basis. We will nonetheless, hold spots with first and last week payment upon booking.
Beacon accepts private pay clients as well as subsidized.
Curriculum
Beacon Children’s Learning Center has chosen The Creative Curriculum to be implemented into our lesson plans.
The educational goal of this curriculum is to offer learning opportunities and activities around the developmental goals based on the PA Early Learning Standards.
